The Last Flower ~ Morning Glory ~ Fine Art Print on Paper 12×12
I woke up to find it there one week to the morning after laying my father to rest. A late bloom from being placed outside my bedroom door in the shade of the forest beyond the back yard deck. This surprise appearance felt comforting and synchronistic because I needed something just like that to happen and it came at a time when the other plants of its kind were on their way to dying out as this one sprang its bloom.
Stunning against the shadows, bright and glowing with beauty, it shone promise of life and struck me with deep sense of love.
There was so much more to it as I recalled memories of him talking about morning glories, of them in relatives gardens and of course blue was his favorite color.
